About the Author
An Indiana native, Kevin worked for Procter & Gamble for 37 years. He was a Sales Representative, Unit Manager and District Manager before finally moving to Northwest Arkansas to become a Group Marketing Manager on P&G's Walmart Team. He spent his last 19 years managing three different category businesses at Walmart and in 2004 he became one of only four William Procter Sales Masters in North America.

Best book on sales ever, and a valuable mentorship that fits in your hand

This is the best book on sales I've ever had the pleasure to read, and I learned much from its insights. Canfield is not just another theorist; he was named a William Procter Sales Master - one of only FOUR in the world, and his decades of experience in the crucible of a very high stakes world comes through on every page. You can tell he's been through the battles and knows his stuff. There are few things in life more valuable than a good mentorship, and Mastering Sales is literally a mentorship that fits in your hand. The only way you could get the depth and level of information offered in this book would be to shadow Canfield or one of the other three Procter Sales Masters in person for a few years. And good luck doing that unless you want to move to Bentonville, Arkansas. Some of the information you find here can be put immediately to use (and I have). Other things are more general principles that will put you ahead of the competition if you study, apply and hold to them over time. I especially enjoyed the real-world examples from Canfield's own experience - it really put things nicely into context and made the theoretical concrete.
You could literally spend years trying learn the things you can pick up in Mastering Sales. Do yourself and favor and get ahead of the game now by picking this up. If you are in sales in any capacity, or even thinking about going into sales, I would not hesitate to buy this book. Trust me.
