Very good, but best used as a coffee-table book

There's quite a few negative reviews of this book on here that say "Don't buy this book because only 8-10 pages will actually pertain to you in particular." While this is true, I think this criticism is a bit narrow-minded. That's like saying a dictionary sucks because it "defines all these other words that you'll never ever have to look up in your entire life."
Part of the appeal of this book is that its information applies to everyone. If you want a book that only talks about you and your life, I'd suggest buying something else that only deals with your zodiac sign. The Secret Language of Destiny is meant more as a coffe-table book, something used to spark discussion between you and some friends. It's really fun to say to somebody, "Hey, here's what this book says about your destiny. Does any of this apply to your life?" Most of the time the karmic paths (which are base on birth date and year) are eerily accurate. I wouldn't say they're constantly dead-on, but I think that for most people there'll be enough similarities listed to at least get them thinking.
A good pick-up if you get a kick out of seeing if the personalities of your friends match up with the personality profiles of their zodiac signs.

ASTONISHINGLY ACCURATE.

My wife and I were AMAZED at the truths found in this book. For instance, I am a "Sagittarius II". Original, eccentric, kooky and eclectic. For years, in my youth, I sought acceptance by being a "people pleaser" type: I wanted to be accepted by "trying too hard". When I forgot about success & popularity (as the book states) in my late twenties, it suddenly found me, as if by magic! On a lighter note, because I am definitely an off-the-wall personality, I found life is much easier once I accepted this fact and by surrounding myself with friends who encourage/appreciate my zany/whacko way of seeing things. By letting go of our ego, our garden of positive thoughts, i.e. our REAL SELVES come into fruitation. Because we are all given particular gifts and idiosyncrasies, the book guides us all according to our own particular character traits! A bravura work. I agree with another reviewer in that these guys really ARE onto something!

All you ever have to know about your destiny!

This book drew me to it immediately since I have taken such intense interest in the previous books written by these authors. Each section of this book is broken down according to your date of birth (probably according to numerology). Each different section describes what "way" you are headed to; what direction your life is in and what challenges (external and internal) you must face. Then, each birthweek within those sections explains how your "way" works with your astrological decanate. As soon as you start to read about your main spiritual and/or mental goal in life, all the other details described hauntingly fall correctly into place. This book will help you to focus on your true path in life and key you into your personal attributes that work in your favor or are detrimental to your happiness. It has made me much more positive about where I am headed and allowed me to take pride in my misgivings and learn to deal with them without losing site of who I am supposed to be. A definite yes for anyone who needs a little boost in his/her positivity. I LOVE IT!

Indeed, the interest in computational issues in geometry gives a new and con� structive direction to the combinatorial study of geometry. It is the intention of this book to demonstrate that computational and com� binatorial investigations in geometry are doomed to profit from each other. To reach this goal, I designed this book to consist of three parts, acorn binatorial part, a computational part, and one that presents applications of the results of the first two parts. The choice of the topics covered in this book was guided by my attempt to describe the most fundamental algorithms in computational geometry that have an interesting combinatorial structure. In this early stage geometric transforms played an important role as they reveal connections between seemingly unrelated problems and thus help to structure the field.

I ordered this book for a senior level computer studies, business class. The book is precisely what you would expect: dry, hard to understand, and uses big words you have to google (assuming that you don't have precious computer intelligence experience, like me). It was unpleasant, but then again, it's a textbook, so what did I really expect?

Great material, but unreasonably verbose presentation

Ralph Ellis has done excellent research and demonstrates that historical records clearly show Jesus to have been a minor king, not a carpenter. Furthermore, he was the head of the Jewish Revolt in 66-70, not someone who was executed in year 33. So the material is most worthy and essential to read for a well-informed member of Western society. Nonetheless, the author's writing style cannot be recommended. Here is a fellow who believes in never writing one paragraph when a whole chapter will suffice. This malady is sometimes referred to as logorrhea (diarrhea of words). How many times do want to beat me on the head with the same stick?? If the reader is so thick-headed as to need this tactic, I doubt that he will pick up the book in the first place. You have to wade through close to 550 pages of text to glean what could well have been covered in 50 pages. And despite several charts of genealogy, all of them are confusing in the pivotal details, which would better have been presented in condensed form on the back cover.

A few other limitations of the work should be mentioned.
(a) Mr Ellis is a fierce proponent of secular materialism. For those of us who believe in the value of spirituality, if not religion, this is unattractive.
(b) He believes that greatly elongated heads among the Egyptian royalty necessarily had to be caused by head-binding. More enlightened studies show that these are likely to have been ETs or ET-hybrids, not head-binders. The binding theory is absurd on the basis of simple physics. There is firm evidence that the sizes (volume) of these crania are much larger than for the human population. Physics does not explain how you can compress something in order to increase its volume.
(c) Most important, Mr Ellis never explains how the Christianity founded by Saul/Josephus came to adopt Jesus as its venerated figurehead!!! He goes on for endless pages pointing out how Saul/Josephus did everything he could to make fun of Jesus and his Fourth Sect. So what's the story behind Saul's Christianity adopting Jesus as the figurehead? The reader is left completely mystified on this essential point. Maybe Mr Ellis will cover that in his next book, but I doubt that I will want to read a lot to learn a little.
(d) The last chapter is a shrill attack on the Islamic religion and its politico-religious leaders. Regardless what you may feel about Islam, this is out of context for a book on the life of Jesus, who I believe even Mr Ellis will concede was dead long before the birth of Mohammed.

If after reading the book, you wonder who Mr Ellis is, you will continue to wonder. It is not clear if this is the real name of the author or a pseudonym, but, in any case, very little biographical information seems to exist. Finally, as usual, the publisher, Adventures Unlimited Press (= David Hatcher Childress) has done a sloppy job. Mr Ellis clearly delivered a manuscript with color illustrations which Childress reproduced solely in b/w. As a result, much of the illustrative material is illegible, since the shades of grey do not suffice to reveal the details.

Must have book in everyone's library

Ralph Ellis is one of the most important writers in history and is research continues to evolve as he continues his search for truth. In my opinion his research exceeds in its conclusions that of Atwill or Thiering in that Ellis is able to see the forest AND the trees. His latest book, a sequel, is his best and most important work yet. As a scholar who spent over 25 years from 1982 on the same trail, I agree with his conclusions previously that Saul/Paul and Johanen ben Zakkai are also Josephus. But this book goes farther than my own research so far and I think he is right that we must look to Edessa and Manu V and Manu VI to see the historical Jesus and James. This book should be on the shelf of every library and home.

It's great information and I suspect all true but I had ...

Lots of information. The writer is very well versed in his subject matter but all of the details makes it hard to leave and come back to without having to review what you already read in order to catch up and move on. I commend his detail but I just couldn't keep it all straight from one reading to the next. It's great information and I suspect all true but I had to put it aside for a few months...maybe when winter comes and I am snowed in.

A Really Great Book on Agile

This book was by far the best one i have read on various aspects of Agile Project Management. It is written clearly with a minimum of unnecessary jargon and BS. Mr. Waters is clearly a well seasoned practicioner and the book is very practical and useful with great tips regarding the various techniques. I plan to use this book as the recommended text book for my University of California classes on "Agile for Everyone" Beyond just Software.

Tells a different side than the popular culture. Many facts that are omitted in other books. Very interesting. Hard to believe in the innocence of the young men who were accused after reading this. Left conflicted after reading; and maybe that's a good thing; stepping outside the confines of conventional wisdom.

Just a collection of transcripts I can find online

The guy has just collected 500 pages of copied interviews, newspaper articles, quotes and dialogue. There's very little analysis or actual writing. He tacks on some stuff about satanism toward the end which just comes off as the writings of a child scared of the boogeyman. I believe the accused are guilty. But this book is a big disappointment. If I want to read case notes, police reports, interviews and newspaper articles, I'll just go find them online. Where is the analysis? Where's the synthesis? What's the point?

I've followed this crime through documentaries and books written of the events. my biggest issue with this book is in the hypocrisy the author has. he continuously condemns others of being biased,however he is guilty too.
